"And thats the last I ever heard of him"- Madeline interviews her grandfather and he describes the process of becoming a pharmacist and the time when he was robbed and held at gunpoint. He talks about his near-death experience and the events that followed.
"One evening… he took his own life" Anna interviewed her dad about how he dealt with the pain and difficulty of his father's suicide at such a young age. Her dad described the hardships he dealt with, the ways he helped his family, and how he stayed strong while handling the repercussions of his father's suicide. The reason why this story is so important is that he got through this tough chapter in his life. He had felt so much pain, but he got through it and is perfectly happy now, with a loving family and wonderful friends. She believes this is extra important because so many people today (mostly teens) deal with depression and loss. They can relate to this story. However, her dad got through it, and she believes that he can be an inspiration to struggling people in need of a reassuring story to let them know that everything will be okay.
